Raised Brick Pond

When we sold our house we knew we would want a Koi pond at our new home and we would want to take our fish with us. Our usual pond/Koi expert wasn’t interested in building a new pond for us and, as we were moving 77 miles north west we knew we would need help. So where to start? A Google search proved fruitless so we went to social media and Facebook. This is how we found Sarah on the Pond Building and Discussions page.

So, why did we choose Sarah? Well it was her attention to detail that first drew me to her work. There are videos of the ponds that Sarah has built, including her pipe work which is very neat. It was evident from comments made by others that they respect Sarah’s knowledge and workmanship and so I contacted Sarah. She quickly responded with some quotations, making everything very clear so we understood just what we would get. Over the course of the following six weeks we had several discussions with Sarah to discuss just what we wanted to achieve and she totally understood and locked into our vision. I should add that Sarah gave me so much confidence in her expertise that I didn’t attempt to get any other quotations (something previously unheard of for me).

We finally moved into our new build home on the 25th March 2025 and the following day, Sarah moved in with us. This might seem like quite a stressful thing to do, having a total stranger moving in when there were mountains of boxes to empty, but Sarah fitted right in. Someone on Facebook commented about us leaving house keys with her, surprised that we had done so, but, despite us having moved from a ‘difficult’ area, we hadn’t even considered there might be an issue.

We were very lucky with the weather and so, six weeks after the pond was started, Sarah helped us move our koi to their new home. She showed us how to catch them and transport them without causing too much stress. They are all now settled and loving their new home which is in no small part due to Sarah. Sarah gives her advice freely when you ask for it and knows who to contact for supplies. She also uses the services of a fabulous fibreglass company who were quick to point out that Sarah’s work is second to none, making their job much easier.

In conclusion, I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending the services of Sarah Iannetta and hope that we remain friends for years to come.
